Advantages of stone wool for insulation of a contact facade
The external walls must be very well insulated, because in the absence of good insulating material, heat losses can be about 30%. Basalt slabs are characterized by high strength and resistance to atmospheric influences, which makes them the best option for external insulation systems, the so-called thermal insulation of facades. For the contact facade, the most suitable material is again stone wool. It provides excellent thermal, sound and fire protection of the building. In addition, thanks to its vapor permeability, stone wool allows the building to “breathe”, ensuring the diffusion of water vapor from the inside to the outside without the risk of condensation. Using stone wool for contact facades is the best solution and a material that does not change its insulation characteristics over time. In practice, stone wool insulation is eternal. Another advantage of stone wool for a contact facade over other facade insulation materials such as EPS and XPS is the fact that stone wool is a non-combustible material and protects the building from fire.
Types of stone wool for contact facade
Depending on the specifics of the particular project, Zet Design Bulgaria offers three types of wool for a contact facade. One is stone wool in slabs with a density of 100 to 120 kg., with the thickness of the slabs depending on the individual insulation needs of the building. The other 2 types of stone wool are ALLWOOL Vip Power 7.5 and ALLWOOL Vip Power Pro 7.5, specially developed products for thermal insulation, noise insulation and fire protection of facades. The difference between these 2 types of wool is the coefficient of thermal conductivity. The plates are hydrophobic, vapor-permeable and do not change their insulating properties over time. Regardless of which type of facade stone wool you choose, installation is extremely easy. The plates are installed by gluing with wool glue and by additional fastening with dowels.
