Ventilated facades with glass mineral wool insulation
Ventilated facade is a general term for facade constructions in which there is a uniform ventilation gap between the facade cladding and the thermal insulation layer, which improves the moisture resistance of the structure. In these constructions, the actual facade cladding is suspended from the supporting structure (bearing base) through the thermal insulation layer. All layers must have good water absorption, frost resistance, thermal expansion and vapor permeability parameters. The insulation material included in the construction plays an important role in the heat, noise and moisture insulation of the building. Glass mineral wool, laminated with a black fiberglass veil is one of the best solutions. The plates are vapor-permeable and do not allow the formation of condensation, both on the external cladding and inside the building. The fiberglass veil coating does not allow the plates to crumble or slide off. For insulation of suspended facades, stone wool with a fiberglass black veil can also be used, but in terms of budget, glass mineral wool with a black veil is the better choice.
